Obituary

Alvin R. Brennemann, 85, of LeRoy, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. 

He was born December 11, 1937 in Peoria to Wilson R. and Gertrude Mammen Brennemann.  He married Wilma Detmers on January 20, 1957 in Delavan, and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Lyle (Joy) Brennemann of LeRoy, Janelle (Mark) St. Martin of West Virginia, and Kyle (Chris) Brennemann of Palmyra, MO; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Plocek of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dick; and one sister, Barb.

Alvin served in the United States Army National Guard for eight years and worked for Solo Cup Co. in Urbana for many years.

He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Normal.

Cremation has been accorded.  A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.  Pastors Jim Smiley and Todd Harrison will officiate.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church in Normal.
