Anna “Ann” M. Cremeens, 87, of Hopedale, passed away due to a stroke on Monday, June 30, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by family.
She was born August 21, 1937 in Peoria to Frank J. and Emma C. Burk Bartels. She married Robert E. Cremeens on May 19, 1957 in San Jose, and he passed away July 1, 2005.
Surviving are her children, Jon Cremeens, Robert (Laura) Cremeens Jr., and Robin (Dave) Watkins, all of Hopedale; grandchildren, Shannon Cremeens, Tyson (Melissa) Cremeens, Brady (Melissa) Cremeens, Taylor (Jacob) Payne, Lindsay (Grant) Campbell, and Clint Watkins; seven great grandchildren; sister, Louise (James) Harris; and in-laws, Don Cremeens, Jay (Mary) Cremeens, Wayne (Myrna) Cremeens, and Kathleen Nafziger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldred Bartels and Julian Bartels; sister, Evelyn Behrends; and in-laws, Bob Nafziger and Velma Cremeens.
Ann worked at State Farm Insurance Companies in Bloomington in the Investment department for 35 years, retiring in 1996.
She loved her family, reading, and grandkids’ sports, and (sometimes) the Chicago Cubs!
She was a member of Minier Christian Church, where her funeral will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 7, 2025. Her grandson, Brady Cremeens, will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 pm Sunday, also at the church. Burial will be in Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minier Christian Church.
