Barbara Haning, 68, of Minier, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.
Barbara was born on June 21, 1955 in Ft. Carson, CO. She was proceeded in death by her mother LaVona Sanders.
She married Doug Haning on March 23, 1973 in Stanford, IL. Together they have two children, daughter Candy (Scott) Siltman of Clinton and son Jeremy Haning (Alicia Frerking) of Minier; also surviving her are her 2 brothers and 4 sisters, four grandchildren, Samantha (Alex) Rempe of Clinton, Whitney Siltman of Clinton, Kaitlyn (Mason) Witzke of McLean, and Zachary Siltman of Clinton; and one great grandchild, Hayden Rempe of Clinton, with one on the way.
Barbara worked as a CNA at Hopedale Nursing Home for many years and served with a passion for others. As a reflection of that, she was awarded the Most Compassionate Care Award two years in a row. She was deeply loved by those who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Minier, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson of First Baptist Church in Clinton officiating.
The visitation will be at 10:00 am with the funeral to follow at 11:00 am. The burial will be at Minier Cemetery. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
