Benjamin Fox

Benjamin Red Fox, formerly known as Benjamin Darrell Hawkins, transitioned onto his new adventure on Friday, May 24, 2024. He was welcomed by his mother, Tena Ruth Ihnen.

He was born April 30, 1997 in Pekin to Michael and Tena Ihnen Hawkins.

His family, whose hearts miss him, are his Father Michael Hawkins of Mackinaw, IL; sister Debbie (Hawkins) Starr & husband Bob of Pekin, IL, brother Mike Hawkins of Pekin, IL, sister Hadassah (Hawkins) Garber & husband Adam currently serving in South Korea, sister Crystal (Hawkins)Ingram & husband Ryan of Pekin, IL.

Ben loved his music, making music on his computer, and playing video games. He was an avid member of the Furry community, likening his character to a fox. He was a joy to be around, always having a joke to share. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

His funeral will be at 10:30 am Monday, June 17, 2024 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.

The family requests those attending to wear anything with red foxes , rainbows, concert or pop culture t-shirts.  All furries are welcome.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
