Obituary

Betty Irene Runyon, age 93, was born in Delevan, Illinois to Earl and Florence (Tammeus) Runyon on November 14th, 1929.  On August 9th, 2023, she departed her earthly body and ran to the arms of her Savior, Jesus. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Daniel Runyon, her husband Robert Valentine Springer, and her second husband William Claude Trebilcock.  

Betty was blessed by her children, Donald (Nancy) Springer and Kevin (Missy) Springer.  She also enjoyed her four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Carrie) Runyon, and her nieces and nephew. Betty enjoyed her family and friends and was grateful for everyone who took time to visit with her.  

Betty was an active member in the Methodist Church for her entire life and enjoyed studying the Bible each day.  

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10-11 am at Hopedale Methodist Church with graveside service immediately following. She will be buried at Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hopedale Medical Foundation and to the Christian Life Academy school in Hopedale.
