Betty Unsicker

Betty L. Unsicker, 92, of Morton, formerly of Mackinaw, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Pekin Manor and is now with her beloved husband, Donald.

She was born to Carl and Vida Evans Berkley on August 28, 1933.  

She is survived by her children,  Laurie J. Unsicker of Columbus OH  and Mark D. (Sharon) Unsicker of Hopedale, IL ; three grandchildren, Aaron (Kaitlyn) Unsicker, Alyson (Christian) Sorensen, and Alex Skyla Wagner) Unsicker;  five great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Unsicker of Mackinaw and Cleo Unsicker of Pleasant Grove, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother passed away in 1968 and her stepmother, Carolyn Novak Berkley; her brother, Vernon Berkley; and sister, Donna Wardrip; nine brothers-in-law and two sisters- in-law. 

Betty worked for Morton Buildings for a time and was a homemaker. 

She was a member of the Mackinaw Christian Church.  She loved her family and spending time with them. 

Cremation has been accorded,  A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, May 8, 2026 at Mackinaw Township Cemetery. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
