Beverly Scott

Beverly J. Scott, 89, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. 

She was born October 16, 1933 in Macomb to John Raymond and Flora Mae Reed Kreps.  She married R. Marvin Scott on May 4, 1952 in Oneida, and he passed away August 27, 2020. 

Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Deanna) Scott of Pekin and Mark A. (Barb) Scott of Tremont; one daughter-in-law, Angie Scott of Mackinaw; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, James (Angela) Kreps of Overland Park, KS; and one sister, Nancy Wilkins of Lexington, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jon and Monte; and one brother, Donald. 

Bev worked at several insurance agencies as an office manager and also worked at the First National Bank in Tremont as a teller. 

She enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. 

She was a member of the Mackinaw Christian Church, where a memorial service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, March 18, 2023.  Pastor Judith Thomas will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
