Carl F. Tuchel - 30, of Crossville, TN, formerly of Janesville, MN, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born on July 23, 1994, in Rapid City, South Dakota to Monty Tuchel and Debby (Euler) Stock. They survive, along with Jennifer Bill, to whom he was previously married. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Euler of Crossville, TN.
Carl was preceded in death by his half-sister, Kirsten “Diane” McDonnald of Minier. His paternal grandparents, Frederick Tuchel of Minier and Joan Johnson of Bloomington, and his maternal grandfather, Larry Euler of Antigo, Wis.
Carl attended grade school at Trinity Lutheran in Janesville, MN. He was a former Cub Scout, then a Boy Scout and loved to play soccer. Carl graduated from Waseca High School in Waseca, MN. Following high school, he worked at Corporate Graphics Commercial in Mankato, MN for 3 years. Then worked at the Bledsoe State Correctional Facility as a correctional officer and then for Flowers Bakery in Crossville, TN. His last employer was at CoLinx.
Carl's sudden, unexpected and tragic passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives and hearts of his family and close friends. He was a truly thoughtful and giving person to all who came in contact with. Often, he would be one of those who would hand money to people on the street asking for help when he drove by or hand people his own bag of food outside a fast-food restaurant. That was just in his makeup.
He was an avid collector of many types of guns and knives and was a member of the American Rifle Association and the Sons of the American Legion in Minier. He loved to target shoot and participate in Turkey Shoots. Many did not know his sentimental side, such as the love for his dogs he had adopted, especially his first dog, Libby. He very much enjoyed visiting his ancestral family home in Minier and his prized possession was a 1992 Ford F150 'Nite' Special Edition truck originally purchased new by his paternal grandfather 'Ted'. It was truly his pride and joy.
Though devastated by his loss, we take comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer burdened with the trials and tribulations of this earth but instead rests for eternity in the all loving hands of his Creator, The Supreme Architect of the Universe.
Funeral services for Carl will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home of Minier, beginning at 11 am. There will be a visitation an hour prior to the service beginning at 10 am. Pastor Frank Zimmerman will officiate. Carl will be laid to rest at Minier Cemetery, following his services.
Memorials may be made to any “No- kill” animal shelter.
