Carol Stuber

Carol J. Stuber, 92, of Tremont, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

She was born August 16, 1930 in Tremont to William S. and Esther E. Brenkman Koch.  She married Dwayne L. Stuber on February 3, 1952 in Tremont, and he passed away December 25, 2006.

Surviving are her children, Deb Fehr, Don (Heidi) Stuber, and Scott (Kelly) Stuber, all of Tremont; 10 grandchildren, Jason (Debbie) Fehr, Jesse (Val) Fehr, Rachel Fehr, Caleb (Dana) Stuber, Luke (Laura) Stuber, Joshua (Morgan) Stuber, Rebekah (Jesse) Sanderlin, Seth (Alyson) Stuber, Danielle Stuber, and Eli Stuber; and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Mark Fehr; and two sisters, Eloise Pflederer and Marilyn Owen.

Carol gave her life to Christ at the age of 19 years old and faithfully served the Lord.  She was a minister’s and elder’s wife for 47 years and served along with Dwayne in the Cabin Ministries and the Berean Prison Ministries. 

Carol worked at Caterpillar Inc. for five years and Tremont Medical Clinic for 23 years.

She was a member of Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont, where her funeral will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 7, 2023.  Matt Miller will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, also at the church.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
