Carolee Meisinger Obituary

Carolee Ann Meisinger, 68, of Delavan, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

 She was born July 1, 1953 in Peoria to Marvin and Thelma Sanderson Goeken.  She married Raymond Meisinger on September 25, 1971 and he passed away September 16, 1994. 

Surviving are her daughter, Heather Marie Meisinger of Pekin; and one sister, Judy (David) Diekhoff of Delavan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Nicholas; and one brother, Tommy. 

Carolee worked for the Delavan School District for over 20 years. She also worked at  USCO in Delavan, was a waitress in several restaurants in Delavan, and was a caretaker for the elderly and the handicapped. 

She was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church. 

She loved animals, playing cards, spending time with her daughter and friends.  She faithfully visited her son Nick every week when he lived in the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville. 

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Delavan United Methodist Church.  Pastor Charles Graul will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.  Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery at a later date.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delavan United Methodist Church or Hopedale Nursing Home.
