Carrie Reeder Obituary

Carrie Lynn Reeder, 40, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 5:12 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Carrie was born December 17th, 1979 in Peoria, IL to Dale and Sharon Rees of East Peoria.  She married Dusty Reeder on October 2nd, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Peoria.

Carrie is survived by her husband Dusty Reeder, son Grant Reeder, daughter Avery Baker, brother Dean (and Angie) Rees, brother Steve (and Christy) Rees, brother-in-law Bob (and Deanna) Reeder, brother-in-law Rick (and Monica) Reeder, sister-in-law Robin (and Jim) Martin, brother-in-law Jeff (and Amy) Durham, Mike (and Nicole) Durham, and father-in-law JR Reeder.

She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law Sherry Reeder.

Carrie graduated from East Peoria High School in 1998 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Bellevue College in 2009. She worked at Caterpillar as a Purchasing Buyer since 2010.  Carrie loved the wind in her hair while motorcycle riding with Dusty, the warm Florida sun on her face, the excitement of St Louis Cardinals baseball, and the adventure of cruising in the Caribbean.  But most of all, Carrie enjoyed spending time with friends and family.   She was quick with her beautiful smile, caring with her warm embraces, first on the dance floor, and always there to lend a helping hand.   She was the life of the party, deeply loved, and now, dearly missed.

A visitation service will be from 5:00p – 8:00p on Thursday, August 20th at the Davis-Oswald Funeral Home, 328 S Locust St, Tremont, IL.  The burial service will be at 10:00a on Friday, August 21st at the Resurrection Cemetery on 7519 N Allen Rd in Peoria, IL.
