Charles Weishaupt Obituary

 
Charles David "Dave" Weishaupt, 71, of Mackinaw, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born November 30, 1949 in Waynesville to Charles E. "Karlie" and Mary Frances Rich Weishaupt. He first married Linda Littlefield. He later married Karen Dietrich on June 18, 1976 at the Mackinaw United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Charles Patrick Weishaupt of Mackinaw, Danielle (Kyle) Ummel of Groveland, Aaron Weishaupt, Brandon (Becky) Weishaupt, Cole Weishaupt all of Mackinaw; five grandchildren, Conner, Harlie, Joshua, Natalia and Malaine; two brothers, Joe (Julie) Weishaupt of Mackinaw and Louis (Lora) Weishaupt of Mackinaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Wesley.

Dave retired form Caterpillar Inc. where he worked as a machinist.

He served in the United States Army.

He helped farm, and enjoyed fishing and tinkering.

His funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Mackinaw United Methodist Church. Pastor Shelly Forrest will officiate. A visitation will be from 9-10:45 am before the service at the church. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery with military honors conducted. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Mackinaw Rescue Squad.
