Charles R. “Chuck” Ostrom, 65, formerly of Delavan, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the home of his sister in Minier.
He was born October 13, 1956 in Hopedale to Gerald D. and Doris M. Tammeus Ostrom.
Surviving are one daughter, Amanda (Dan) Bailey of Pekin; one step-son, Joe (Emily) Connell of TX; one granddaughter, Olivia Summers of Pekin; one step granddaughter, Kathrine Connell of TX; one brother, Bill Ostrom of Lake Placid, FL; three sisters, Fannie (Richard) Jenks of Morton, Jackie (Melvin) Schmidgall of Minier, and Beth (Dennis) Bernahl of Lincoln; one brother-in-law, Michael DeVary of Bloomington; his brother through life-long friendship, Tim (Janet) Morrison of Delavan; and his beloved dog, Scooter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jan DeVary; and one brother, John Ostrom.
Chuck retired from the City of Delavan as a member of E.S.D.A.
He was a member of Delavan United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing and weather and tornado spotting.
Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Life will be at a later date. Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
