Connie Hymbaugh Madden, 79, of Delavan, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at Pekin Manor.
She was born July 9, 1946 in Peoria to Thomas and Dorothy Mobley Hymbaugh. She married Dan Madden on April 5, 1979, and he passed away September 30, 2018.
Surviving are her children, Harlan (Millie) Carter Jr. of Goodfield, Becki (Robert) Lanzara of San Jose, and Tim (Cheryl) Carter of Delavan; 10 grandchildren, Amanda (Dan Miller) Lanzara, Ashley Lanzara, TJ (Marissa) Carter Jr, Dakota (Sarah) Carter, Montana (Dillon) Shew, Rosemary (Jason) Ince, John Brady, James Merriman, Douglas Merriman, and Kimberly (Lloyd) DuBois; great grandchildren, Keaton Lanzara, Arizona Shew, Henley Carter, Berkley Shew, Calvin Carter, Ridley Shew, Tristyn Carter, Emilie Merriman, James Powers, Morgan, Dakota, and Bowdrie Blunier, Ethan and Abby Ince, and Christian, Evan, Izzy, Stella, Gabriel Brady; Siblings, Deborah (Scott) Stockstill of Delavan, Karen Hymbaugh of Indiana, and Kevin Hymbaugh of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Connie owned and operated CJ’s Ceramics in Delavan for many years. She was known around town as the “flower lady” taking care of the flowerpots on main street.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting, gardening and loved to cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale. Pastor Andy Goewey will officiate. There will be no visitation. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
