Dale Romans

Dale Romans, 93, of Minier, IL, died on Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Arcadia Care in Bloomington, IL.

He was born August 29, 1931 at rural Armington, IL (Hittle Twnsp.) The son of Willie and Oma Berry Romans.  He married Effie L. Green on Oct. 17, 1954. (they divorced) He later married Wanet McNeil Beier on April 5, 1996 in Prescott, AZ and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Arthur “Lee” (Terri) Romans and Timothy “Tim” Romans, both of Minier; one daughter, Sylvia (Larry Olsen) Romans of Copper City, FL; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother, Larry (Jean) Romans of Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter and one sister.

Mr. Romans served in the United States Air Force for 20 years from 1951 to 1971.  He later worked in the food service business in Minier and the state of Tennessee for several years.

He was a member of the American Legion (in Tennessee) and V.F.W. Post 454 in Bloomington.

He attended the Assembly of God Church in Minier.

Cremation rights have been accorded, a Graveside Service will be held at Gaines Cemetery at 11:00 am Saturday May 10, 2025, followed by a celebration of life at 12:30pm at the Minier Firehouse located at 107 W Central Ave. Minier, IL 61759.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
