Dale Sauder

Dale A. Sauder, 90, of Tremont, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital.

He was born September 20, 1933 in rural Tremont to John and Sophia Schmid Sauder.  He married Joann Schmidgall of Elgin, IL on April 26, 1959.

Surviving are his wife, Joann Sauder of Tremont; his children, Paul (Marie) Sauder of Princeville, David (Joanna) Sauder of Tremont, Ann (Doug) Stahl of Lafayette, and Matthew (Jenni) Sauder of Tremont; 23 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Joe (Lynette) Sauder of Peoria; two brothers-in-law, Dan Koch of Morton and Phil (Hilda) Schmidgall of Elgin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carol Koch and Donna Martin; and one infant grandson.

Dale served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.  He was a dedicated servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and his love and integrity was a gift to all who knew him.  As a lifelong farmer, he worked closely with his Creator.

He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont, where his funeral will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 22, 2023.  Ministers of the Church will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall in Tremont and from 9:00 to 9:45 am Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
