Obituary
Darlene Ropp Stephens, 56, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
She was born February 24, 1966 to Warren and Rita Holtz Ropp.
Surviving are her father, Warren Ropp; one son, Jeremy Stephens; one half-brother, Jason Williams; and one half-sister, Lori Resnick; and her aunt, Verla Radford.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Olga Ropp in 2001, who she admired immensely; her cousin, Rodney Ropp in 2013, who were inseparable best friends.
Darlene worked many places over the years, most prominently in Tremont at Bonnie’s Tremont Café and Dar’s Place, where she served the community doing hair for nearly 30 years.
She enjoyed riding on the back of her boyfriend of 16 years, Steve’s, Harley and spending time with her many friends. She loved taking care of her family and her cat, Jax.
A celebration of life will be held in February and announced soon.
