David D. Booker, 83, of Tremont, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Carle Health Proctor in Peoria.
He was born February 18, 1941 in Peoria to Charles Gilbert and Bernice Cole Booker. He married Linda Ehrich on June 29, 1963 in Pekin, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Susan (Gary) Crank of Lacon, Steven (Anita) Booker of Tremont, Stuart Booker of Tremont, and Matthew (Mindy) Booker of Chatham;12 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Alex, Emily, and Olivia Crank, Hannah (Steven) McHenry, Clarise, Nathan, Emma, Benjamin, Ryan and Matthew Booker; and one brother, Richard Booker of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Roger.
David graduated from Richwoods High School in 1959 and from University of Illinois Springfield in 1982.
He worked at Keystone Steel & Wire Company for many years and worked at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, where he was a manager of supply processing and distribution.
He was a member of Olivet Missionary Chapel of Peoria Heights and currently attended Grace Church in Morton.
David enjoyed boating and biking, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
His funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
