David Morman

David Joe Morman of Eddyville, Ky, formerly of Mackinaw, Il died peacefully at his home on April 30, 2024. He was born March 26, 1949 in Bloomington, Il to Aubrey and Belva Higgins Morman. He married Elizabeth “Bette” Weishaupt on February 20, 1971, she survives.

He is survived by his son, Mark(Jessi) of Mackinaw, four grandchildren, Rylee Kahlo, Rylan Morman, Drake Morman and Grant Morman all of Mackinaw.

Also surviving are two brothers, Curt (Alice) of The Villages, Fl and Gene(Marsha) of Yorkville, Il and a sister Cathy Lusch of Mackinaw, Il. Also many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Deer Creek Mackinaw High School in 1967.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1987. He was a rural mail carrier in Mackinaw for 18 years.

He was a member of the Deer Creek American Legion Post 1276.

Visitation will be May 18, 2024 from 1 to 3 pm at the Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw, Il. Eulogy by Mike Morman will be at 3 pm at funeral home. Burial will follow at the Mackinaw Township Cemetery with military rites and TAPS played by Dean Long.

Luncheon will follow at the Deer Creek American Legion.
