David Wagenbach

David Alan Wagenbach, 71, of Tremont, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

He was born December 9, 1954 in Bloomington to Simon and Louise Klein Wagenbach.

Surviving are his siblings, Carol (John) Steiner of Mediapolis, IA, Jeannette (Fred) Beutel of Tremont, Judy (Vern) Wettstein of Eureka, Charlotte (Bill) Metzger of Rock Rapids, IA, Helen (Les) Bauman of Eureka, Jim Wagenbach of Tremont, Kathy Rocke of Tremont, Becky (Glen) Bauman of Congerville, Ron (Liz) Wagenbach of Tremont, Dale (Mary) Wagenbach of Tolland, CT; brothers-in-law, Jim Metzger of Hills, MN and Jordan Elsasser of Eureka; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wagenbach of Tremont, LaVonne (Eldon) Getz of Remington, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Robert, Mary Gerber, Joyce Schneider, Shirley Funk, Sharon Elsasser, Lois Metzger, Simon Jr., and Steven.

Dave had a childlike faith and was a member of the Tremont Apostolic Christian Church. He loved the outdoors, flowers, and was a man of labor.

His funeral will be at 10:00 am Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Tremont Apostolic Chirstian Church.  Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont and from 9:00-9:45 am Friday at the church.  Burial will be in Tremont Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
