Diana Hood

Diana Lynn Hood, 67, of Minier, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born September 12, 1957 in Bloomington to Charley and Patricia Chase Elder.  She married Larry Hood on November 3, 1978 in Hudson, and he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Leslea (Michael) Horn of Stanford; one grandson, Amos Horn of Stanford; three step grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Elder of Decatur and Brett Leach of Florida; two sisters, Debbie Hofferberth of Fl; Denise McGivern of North Carolina; and one half-sister, Terri Bond of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Diana worked at the Olympia High School in the cafeteria for 24 years.

She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of her life will be at 12:00 noon  Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Minier Assembly of God, 604 S. Minier Ave. in Minier, IL. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier is handling the arrangements.
