Dolores Blickensderfer Wegman of Mackinaw, IL passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 92 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Blickensderfer, her second husband Robert Wegman and grandson Andrew Blickensderfer.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, May 3rd at Mackinaw United Methodist Church followed by the funeral at the church. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL at 3:00 pm. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
Dolores was born January 28,1933 to Watson and Anna (Rouse) Campbell in Timpas, CO.
She is survived by her three sons-Roger (Christy) Blickensderfer, Washington, IL, Paul (Nancy) Blickensderfer, Bloomington, IL, and Dale Blickensderfer, Mackinaw, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Rachel (Andy) Amsbaugh, Washington, IL, David (Drew) Harris, St. Louis, MO, Noah (Molly) Blickensderfer, Bloomington, IL and Emma Blickensderfer, Chicago, IL. She has two great grandsons, Zachary and Isaac Amsbaugh and three nieces Gail Rennert, Mt. Zion, IL, Linda Rabon, Havana, FL and Brenda Saylors, Las Vegas, NV.
Dolores graduated from Wichita Business College where she studied Modern Office Practices and returned to Denver to work for an oil company. While in Denver she met and married Charles while he attended Denver University. Moving back to Central Illinois in 1955, she worked at State Farm for 33 years as an Executive Secretary to several Vice Presidents and earned her Certified Professional Secretary accreditation in 1971 and then served as an IT Technician in her last years at State Farm. In retirement, Dolores attended Bible studies, volunteered for many civic functions, enjoyed her grandchildren and putting puzzles together. She was a member of Mackinaw United Methodist Church and Junior Women’s Club of Mackinaw.
