Obituary
Donald D. Deiss, 73, of San Jose, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born June 15, 1949 in Pekin to Harold Dean and Lenora Faye Smith Deiss.
Surviving are two sisters, Sharon Perrino of West Chester , OH and Debra Deiss of Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Dominic Perrino.
Donald worked at Caterpillar Inc. for over 40 years and farmed in the San Jose area his entire adult life.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, rural San Jose and a member of Tazewell County Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed going to auctions and traveling.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 am Monday, January 9, 2023 at Green Valley Cemetery. Pastor David Jacob will officiate. There will be no visitation. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
