Obituary
Donald Phillip Kilby, 92, of Mackinaw, born May24, 1930 on the family farm. He passed away March 24, 2023 at Hopedale Nursing Home.
He was born May 24, 1930 on the family farm to Francis S. and Floy P. Phillips Kilby. He married Patricia Ann Trimble on November 19, 1955 in Morton and she passed away September 26, 2019.
Surviving are his two children, Brenda (Mike)Wright of Canton, MO and Craig Kilby of Mackinaw; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Phillip (Jessica) Wright Madison and Brayden, Jessica Wright, Brandon (Jerri) Wright Jakob and Naomi, Erica (Josh)Wright Adriana and Henry, Chessa Kilby, Christian (Rachael) Kilby and Charlotte, Ian (Amanda) Kilby and Jared Kilby.
He was a lifelong farmer, was a past 4-H leader, an agent for Delevan Mutual Insurance and had served on Tazewell Farm Bureau board and Tazewell County Extension.
He was a lifelong member of Mackinaw Christian Church, where his funeral will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2023. Pastor Judith Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:45 pm Saturday at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Gaines Cemetery in Minier. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
