Donald Lee Miller

Donald Lee Miller, 86, of Armington, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2025 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

He was born December 30, 1938 in Tazewell County to Lloyd E. and Grace Dickerson Miller.  He married Louise E. Wheat on December 27, 1959 in San Jose, and she passed away March 6, 2015.

Surviving are his children, Teri (Greg) Johnson of Mclean, Alan (Cheryl) Miller of Springfield, and Gary (Teresa) Miller of Mackinaw;  nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, William Miller.

Don served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1960.

He worked at Early Bird Fertilizer Plant in Armington for 34 years and at Hopedale Medical Complex for 10 years.

He served on the Hittle Township board for 44 years.

Don was an avid golfer and St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 4, 2025 at Armington Christian Church.  Pastor Tyler Escoubas will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, also at the church.  Burial will be in Mount Joy Cemetery at a later date.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
