Ernestine Carr

Ernestine Carr, of Morton, passed away at 10:55 pm Monday, June 22, 2020 at Unity Point Health-Proctor in Peoria.

She was born June 12, 1935 in Bloomington to Ernest and Flossie Rider Garling.  She married Floyd W. Carr on September 21, 1958 in Bloomington, and he passed away on April 15, 2008.

Surviving are one son, David Carr of Peoria; three daughters, Connie (Bill) Holtke of Washington, Debra (Brian) Schmitgall of Hopedale, and one other daughter; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, William Carr on July 12, 1997 and one great grandson, Parker Schmitgall on April 30, 2020.

Ernestine was a homemaker and a business partner with her husband in various business enterprises.

A private family graveside service will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Tremont.  Pastor Roger Springer will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
