Eva Reid

Eva M. Reid, 98, of Tremont, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at River Crossing of East Peoria.

She was born March 29, 1925 in Albion to Everett and Ida Bunting.  She married Donald D. Reid on November 14, 1942 in Cape Girardo, MO, and he passed away April 10, 2013.

Surviving are two sons, Stanley D. Reid of Creve Coeur and Randal G. (Vicki) Reid of East Peoria; four grandsons, Paul (Tonya) Reid of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jeffrey Reid of East Peoria, Garrick (Tabatha) Reid of Morton, and Craig (Missy) Reid of Germantown Hills;  seven great grandchildren,  Chase, Lily, Brianna, Aiden, Bennett, Easton, Nora Reid; and four nieces and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ethel Harris; and one brother, Delbert Bunting.

Eva was a homemaker, a member of Mackinaw Christian Church, and Tremont Women’s Club, where she served as president.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Her funeral will be at 2:00 pm Friday, December 8, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  Pastor Judith Guy Thomas will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.

Memorials may be made to Mackinaw Christian Church or Tremont Rescue.
