Franz "Fritz" Lusch Obituary

Franz E. “Fritz” Lusch, 79, of Mackinaw, passed away, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoira.

He was born March 28, 1942 in Marion, OH to John and Dorothy Werley Lusch. He married Cathy Morman on September 7, 1974 in Mackinaw and she survives.

Also Surviving are two brothers, Mark (Cheryl) Lusch of Texas and Fred (Lynn) Lusch of Illinois; two sisters, Anne (Dave) Harper of New Hampshire and Theresa Lusch (Rick Williams) of Illinois; his miniature schnauzer, Tinker Belle; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He retired from the Clinton Power Plant.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star.

Franz was an avid fisherman and deer hunter.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday, November 5, 2021 at Trinity Church in Morton. Pastor Paul Bachaus will officiate. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trinity Church in Morton or the Mackinaw Rescue Squad.
