Frederick J. Keim, 90, of Minier, passed away at 7:55 pm Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Heritage Health in Normal. He was born February 25, 1929 in Heyworth to Ira and Oleta Pleines Keim. He married to Phyllis J. Scott on August 5, 1951. Surviving are his wife, of Heritage Legacy Units (Memory Care) in Normal; one son, Timothy Keim of Newnan of GA; grandchildren: Stephanie Keim of Normal, Jonathan Keim of Parker, CO and Sarah Weaver of Sharpsburg, GA; step-grandchildren, Audrey Seamon, Evan Dorrough, Aaron Dorrough; great grandchildren, Abraham Weaver, Maggie Weaver, Ethan Keim; step great grandchildren, Landan Barteski, Miller Seamon, Miles Seamon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Stephen Keim. Fred served over 50 years as a preacher in independent Christian Churches. He preached at numerous churches throughout Illinois and Indiana. After his last full-time ministry, Fred & Phyllis retired to Minier. He enjoyed driving a school bus for the Olympia school system and being involved at Minier Christian Church. His funeral will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Minier Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, also at the church. Burial will be in Minier Cemetery. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Hopedale is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to ALL IN Campaign at Minier Christian Church.
