Frederick Kuhfuss

Fred Kuhfuss, 78, of Minier, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at his home. 

He was born October 14, 1947 in Normal to Alvin Lee and Margaret “Margee” Clarke Kuhfuss, Sr. 

Surviving are a lifelong friend, Teresa Knapp; daughter, Jessica (Carl) Knapp-Baer; and granddaughters, Elayna and Belle Baer; one sister, Pamela Kuhfuss Yeast; nieces, Jennifer Yeast Sweetwood (Eric),Sarah Lowery (Donald Glaser), Anna (Joe) Yeast Rohlfing, Cheryl Asbury Kuhfuss, Lisa (Paul) Kuhfuss Mueller; two grandnieces; and three grandnephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Hettie Dougherty Kuhfuss; and one brother, Alvin “Lee” Kuhfuss, Jr. 

He farmed alongside his father in the Minier area his entire life until his retirement. 

He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and friends. 

Cremation has been accorded.  A gathering for family and friends will be at the Faith Fellowship Hall in Minier at a later date.
