Harold "Howie" Hogbin

Harold “Howie” A. Hogbin, 79, of Tremont, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born January 29, 1946 in Peoria to Harold “Bud” and Leota Patterson Hogbin.  He was married to Diana “Dee” Whitley from 1978-1984.

Surviving are his daughter, Tina (George) Jackman of Pekin; three grandchildren, Eli Wagle, Elicia Jackman, and Diane Jackman, all of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James “Jim” Hogbin.

Howie worked at Morton Buildings and retired in 2015.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Wayne’s 121 Club in Tremont.

Cremation has been accorded.  A visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Private burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery in Mackinaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his grandchildren, which he loved more than anything, established at CEFCU.
