Harry W. Kincaid Jr.

Harry W. Kincaid, Jr., passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at his home. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend.

He was born February 23, 1941 in Danvers to Harry W. and Nellie E. Thompson Kincaid Sr. He married Phyllis Ritchard on August 17, 1963 in Decatur and she passed away December 26, 2022.

Surviving are his daughters, Deborah Luczkowiak of Flower Mound, TX and Lori (Keith) Krimmel of Fishers, IN; four grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Krimmel and Kyle (Elise) Luczkowiak and Kayla Luczkowiak; and one sister, Susie Kennedy of East Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Bob Luczkowiak; one sister, Ella Mae Mayberry; and one brother, Charles Kincaid; and two brothers-in-law, Art Kennedy and Bob Mayberry.

Born and raised on a farm, Harry learned from an early age the value of hard work, family, faith, and community. He was a loyal member of Tremont Baptist Church since 1963 and served his church and community as a deacon.  His church family was an important part of his life, and he treasured the friendship and fellowship he found there.

Harry graduated from Danvers High School and then served in the United States Army as an acting sergeant from 1959 to 1965.

He proudly worked for Caterpillar in East Peoria from January 1964 through March 2005 as an oiler, retiring after 41 years.  He took pride in doing his job well and was respected for his dedication and commitment.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in his family he loved, the faith he cherished, the church he faithfully served, the work to which he devoted 41 years, the outdoors he enjoyed, and the community he proudly called home.

His funeral will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 24, 2026 at Tremont Baptist Church.  Pastor Noah Lee will officiate.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Danvers.
