Obituary
Henry Lee Mibbs, 55, formerly of Delavan, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at his home in Pekin.
He was born on July 4, 1968 to Richard "Bud" and Barbara Rush Mibbs of Delavan. He married Nikki Mead in 1991. They later divorced but remained friends.
Henry is survived by his mother, Barb Mibbs of Delavan; a daughter, Jessica Mead of Pekin; a son, Joel Mibbs of North Pekin; six grandsons, Parker, Quinten, Bentley, Carter, Karsyn, and Jayson; one granddaughter, Josephine; one brother, Richard (Angela Smith) Mibbs of Manito; one nephew, Austin; one niece, Keirstyn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Mibbs; one son, Jason Mead; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Jessie Lay; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Velma Mibbs.
Henry graduated from Delavan High School in 1986 and worked in construction. He enjoyed music, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan. Cremation was accorded following the visitation. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
