Ilene M. Reichter

Ilene M. Reichter, 67, of Tremont passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care Center in Pekin.

She was born August 14, 1955 in Pekin to Albert and Caroline Shanklin Reichter.

Surviving are two brothers, John (Jackie) Shanklin of Grayslake and Gerald Shanklin of Southern Illinois; one sister, Lynn Reichter of Tremont; three nephews, William, Chris, and Steven Shanklin; and her cat, Mickey.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ilene worked at Petrov Watkins Insurance in Tremont and Pekin Insurance until retiring in December 2018.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Pekin and was a lifetime member of North Pekin Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 169.

She enjoyed reading, was an avid bowler, where she bowled on various leagues, and was an avid Cubs and Peoria Chiefs fan.

A private graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
