Jebadiah “Jeb” John Payne, 30, of Mackinaw, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital Emergency room.
He was born October 6, 1994 in Peoria to John R. and Kellie J. Gullett Payne.
Surviving are his parents, John and Kellie Payne of Mackinaw; one daughter, Ryver Marie Payne of Secor; one sister, Rhaven Gass and her children, Payzlie Gass and Blaiyke Lundberg, all of Glasford; grandparents, Robert and Sandra Payne of Tremont and Joe and Jean Gullett of Mackinaw; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ariel Jean Payne in 1993, his great grandparents, and one aunt, Renee Risinger Payne.
Jeb graduated from Dee-Mack High School and worked for Chief Crete in Mackinaw.
He lit up the room wherever he entered. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, campfires, four-wheeling, music and dancing, but most of all, adored his beautiful daughter, Ryver.
Jeb was a Gift of Hope Donor, giving hope to 78 other people.
His funeral will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Mackinaw United Methodist Church. Pastor Jarrett Wells will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, also at the church. Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made for his daughter, Ryver, established at the First Security Bank in Mackinaw.
