John C. Miller, 45, of Mackinaw, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at his home.
He was born April 14, 1978 in Austin, Texas to John Miller and Carla Meyer. David “Dave” Capps was a honorary father to him. He was preceded in death by his biological father and mother.
He was with his partner, Jessica McCool, for 18 years. She survives.
John is also survived by one daughter, Jorja Miller; one stepson, Jorden McCool; one sister, Georgia Utech; two brothers, David and Jeremy Capps; two surviving grandparents, Joann Doss and Don Meyer; and honorary father, Dave Capps.
He was a construction subcontractor for many years, special mention being Certified Builders for 10 years.
John was an outdoorsman, who especially loved to fish, hunt and play bags. He also loved working on his truck and his bike.
Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home are handling the arrangements with the family. Cremation rites have been accorded.
