Joli Sue Hubner, 51, of Delavan, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2025, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1974, in Gibson City, IL. to Peggy Hubner and Steven Shilts(from Saybrook, IL.) and they survive.
She is survived by her brother, Kevin (Amy) Hubner; two nephews Nicholas and Samual; and Darrell Ellis, who was a father-figure since she was 10 years old.
Joli is preceded in death by her grandparents, two aunts, three uncles, and two cousins.
Joli was always happy. She will be remembered for her big smile by whomever met her. She was strong and at times, could be a stubborn little girl. If someone were to get on her “bad side” she would let you know you were in the wrong. She always had a mind of her own and let you know if she wanted something or when things should be done.
Joli played baseball for a couple of summers and got trophies for her efforts, which made her one PROUD GIRL! She loved the Chicago Cubs and the Las Vegas Raiders. Joli was a huge fan of Neil Diamond and listened to him all the time. She also loved watching any and all police shows. She loved all her stuffed animals and slept with a different one every night.
Her electric wheelchair was very much a part of her life and going for walks to watch the town parades and to her work program. She was loved by her family who was there for her all through her life. She loved family get-togethers, and when she got all the attention.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
