Joseph A. Stoehr

Joseph A. Stoehr, 84, of Green Valley, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home. 

He was born October 6, 1937 to Alvin and Gertrude Stoehr.  He married Vivian Land on July 29, 1960 in Pekin, and she survives. 

Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Wick) Wicklein of Cape Fair, MO and Teresa (Gary) Moore of Green Valley; four grandchildren, Joseph, Jeremiah, Amanda, and Sheena; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Charles (Angela) Darling of Pekin and Larry (Penny) Stoehr of Ipava; two sisters, Sally Hasty of Pekin and Alvina (Jeff) Rademaker of Mt. Sterling; and his aunt, Eileen Bailey of Los Lumas, NM. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Kay Stoehr and Donna Henry; and one brother, David Stoehr. 

Joe worked for Tazewell County Highway Department and farmed in the Green Valley area. 

He was a United States Navy Veteran. 

He was a volunteer fireman for the Green Valley Fire Department for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards. 

A private family graveside will be held at Green Valley Cemetery at a later date.
