Josiah Estell

Josiah Daniel Estell, 24, of Tremont, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his residence in Champaign. 

He was born May 19, 1999 in Ocala, FL to Brian and Carla Ramsey Estell. 

Surviving are his parents, Brian and Carla Estell of Tremont; his siblings, James (Dominika) Estell of Cincinnati, OH, Rebekah (Caleb) Farnsworth of Cincinnati, OH, Jeremiah (Victoria) Estell of Peoria, Jonathan Estell of Tremont, and Hannah Estell of Tremont; maternal grandmother, Claudia (Bill) Stanridge of Leesburg, FL; nephews, Jimmy and Theo Estell; niece, Daisy Farnsworth; his cat, Fern; several aunts and uncles and other extended family members. 

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Charlie Ramsey; his paternal grandparents, Tom and Carlita Estell; and his uncle Brian Ramsey. 

Josiah was a student at the University of Illinois studying Psychology. 

He was a self-taught musician playing multiple instruments.  He enjoyed photography and being involved with the community was important to him. 

His funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 am Saturday at the funeral home.  Cremation will be accorded following the service.
