Juanita V. Zimmerman

Juanita Zimmerman, 98, of Morton, IL, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

She was born December 14, 1923, at home in Peoria, IL to Louis and Frances (Smith) Korta. She married Orville Zimmerman on November 23, 1956 in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Zimmerman and Carol (Bill) Litwiller; two grandchildren, Jacob Litwiller and Joel Litwiller; and one sister, Margaret Korta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Amy Jacobs.

Juanita graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College and returned to Peoria to work at South Side Mission with their women’s and children’s ministry.

After her marriage she was a homemaker and taught Sunday School for many years. Juanita was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends.

She was a member of Grace Church in Morton, IL, where her funeral  will be at 11:00 am Friday, January 7.  Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery in Groveland.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
