Judith K. Kavanaugh, 85, of Mackinaw, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at her home.
She was born February 16, 1940 in Peoria to Bill and Fern Jones Mattocks. She married Douglas E. Kavanaugh on February 9, 1962 in Peoria.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Douglas E. Kavanaugh of Mackinaw; her children, Steven D. Kavanaugh, Jana Lea (Kevin) Montgomery, Douglas E. Kavanaugh II (deceased), and Matthew D. Kavanaugh; five grandchildren, Brianna Swanton, Tyler Montgomery, Christopher D. Kavanaugh, Quinten D. Kavanaugh, and Kayla Kavanaugh; three great grandchildren, Carter D. Kavanaugh, Dean Swanton, and Sophia Swanton; one brother, Bill Mattocks (deceased), and Debra (Randy) Calloway.
Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Mackinaw Christian Church. Pastor Judith Guy Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 am Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery in Mackinaw. Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Mackinaw Rescue Squad or Mackinaw Christian Church.
