Karon Bitner Obituary

Karon Marie Bitner, 77, of Tremont, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at 4:17 pm peacefully at her home with her son by her side.

She was born March 21, 1947 to Ernie and Lois Ziegenbein Tassart.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Gary D. Bitner; Father, Ernie Tassart; Mother, Lois Morgan; Stepfather, Harry Morgan Sr.; sister, Patrica Sund; and brother-in-law, Ronald Sund.

Surviving are her son, Gary Dale Bitner II; daughter, Carla (Kray) Stanley; three beautiful granddaughters, Brittany Singleton, Bethany Singleton, and Samantha Bitner; one nephew, Larry (Michelle) Sund; and brother, Harry Morgan Jr.

Karon worked as a security guard for Peoria Airport, worked as bus driver for City of Pekin and worked at Mr. K’s in Pekin as a cashier.

Karon loved playing cards and dice with her sister all night long.

She loved watching YouTube with her son and copying recipes and trying them. She watched the Moss family every day on YouTube, her favorite show was “A Dog Named Christmas”.

She loved her church, Northfield Chirstian Fellowship and they always took care of her and made sure she was doing good. She loved her friends, Karen Gingrich, Gina Beradi, and Angie Whitfield, who would bring her milk and groceries and make sure she was doing good. God bless those three angels.

She gave her heart and soul to her family.

God bless you mom, rest now Sweetie.

Cremation has been accorded. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery.
