Kenneth Short

Kenneth Harold Short, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Green Valley on December 15, 2025.  Born on July 7, 1946, to Harold and Alice Short, Ken lived a life marked by devotion to farming and hard work.

Ken graduated from Green Valley High School and soon after married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Stoehr. Together, they had two sons, Harold and Alrick.

Farming was Ken’s greatest passion, a calling he pursued with skill and success.  He approached farming with dedication, finding joy in planting and nurturing crops, tending fields, maintaining irrigation and harvesting with care.

This past year, Ken remained in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loving care from his son Harold.  This devotion brought him peace in his final days.

Ken is survived by his sons, Harold and Alrick; their mother, Patricia; his four grandchildren: Madison, Riley, Christina, and Sophia; and his sister, Wilma.  His legacy of hard work, integrity and perseverance will be remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor Ken’s memory.
