Kimberlie Elkins

Kimberlie M. Elkins, 56, of Washington,  passed away at 7:34 am Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home.

She was born August 31, 1967 in Peoria to Richard and Bonnie Rittenberry Witt. She married Marc Elkins on April 17, 1999 in Pekin, and he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Lesa (Rob) McDaniel of  Windsor,  Brandon Lulay of New York City, NY,  Mike (Jenn) Knoop of  East Peoria, Hannah Elkins of New York City, NY; one step-daughter, Brittany Elkins (John) of South Pekin; grandchildren, David, Oliver, Robbie, Ryker, Remington, and Rowan; one brother,  John Will of  Manito; one sister, Jean (Kyl)Shoultz; four nephews and 1 niece and great nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of Life will be at a later date. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Kimberlie’s greatest blessing was being a wife, mother, and grandma.  She referred to herself as the ‘Family Manager.’ It is impossible to embody all of whom Kimberlie was.  Her sphere of influence was far and wide and if you knew her, you wanted to be around her.  The joy in her heart flowed over and her laugh was infectious.  She loved people fiercely, and was loyal, and kind.  She saw the world through a unique lens and her art reflected that.  She was a creative soul – she was a true artist.  Kimberlie had the ability to sincerely forgive others and love well.  The hearts of all she has touched will never be the same and she will be missed by so many.
