LaDonna Stuber

LaDonna Stuber, 86, of Tremont, passed away at home at 8:45 pm Thursday, January 7, 2021.

She was born January 13, 1934 in Pekin, IL to Wilbert and Dorothy (Hubner) Van Buren. She married LaVern “Jug” Stuber August 30, 1953 in Tremont, IL. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2014.

She is survived by two sons, Marc (Jo) Stuber of Tremont and Peter Stuber of Van Nuys, CA; three daughters, Dawn (Mark) Shaull and Gay Stuber both of Tremont and Joy (Greg) Robbins of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Jed (Julie) Stuber, Rachel (Cameron) Anderson, Adam (Rachel) Stuber, Talissa (Trevor) Grindle, Hillary (Levi) Birkey, Janae Shaull, Braxton Robbins, nine great grandchildren, Rosie, Cadence, Noelle Stuber, Colton, Rylan, Eden, Asia, Haven Anderson, Forrest Grindle.

LaDonna was a member of Northfield Christian Church in Tremont and served on the church Sunday School and Missionary Committees. She served on the Tremont Library Board for many years. She was a very quiet, private, and unassuming individual who always had a kind word for everyone. She loved to travel and always enjoyed the Stuber “breakfasts”.

Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 11, 2021 at Northfield Christian Fellowship. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:45 am Monday morning prior to services. Don Stuber will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
