Our hearts were broken the morning of March 13, 2025 at 6:15 am, when our beloved Larry left this earthly world to be with our Lord and Savior. Larry was alert right to the very end and eager to take that final step; leaving all that pain and suffering of brain cancer and pancreatic cancer behind.
Larry Middleton was born August 8, 1957 in Bloomington to Ruth Cochran Middleton Babbs and George Middleton.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Cochran Middleton Babbs of Stanford; brother, Robert Middleton of Stanford; sister, Nancy Middleton of Stanford and her children, niece, Miranda Knops of Bloomington, and her son, Kyree Gulley, and nephew, David (Melissa) Knops Jr. of Edinburgh, IN, and his children, Davina, Matthew, Darian, and Alex; sister, Karla Hedrick of Minier, and her children, Gloria, Zachary, and Jessica; sister, Tricia (Hobie White) Middleton of Danvers, and her son, Jesse; and all their extended families; also surviving is a special friend and former companion, Connie Kerrick of Bloomington and her children, Jennifer, John, and Jeff (deceased).
He was preceded in death by his father, George; brothers, George Middleton and Alfred; stepfather, Robert Babbs; and his grandparents.
Larry worked hard for many years in the siding business; working for several different companies in the area; then striking out on his own. It was during these years that Larry chose to use his talent and great love and caring for all humanity to give and share to anyone. He has been known to donate his labor entirely free to side a church. He did the same for several elderly. If Larry ever heard of anyone in need, he was there; no questions asked.
Larry leaves behind many extended family and friends, who were always of the utmost importance to him. His parting words to anyone, whether male or female, were a sincere “I love you.”
His funeral will be at 3:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2025 at Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Minier. Pastor Loren Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 – 2:45 pm Friday, also at the funeral home. Larry would have encouraged casual dress attire. Burial will be in Brooks Grove Cemetery in Stanford.
Memorials may be made to Stanford Rescue Squad or Stanford Church of God.
