Larry Gene Urish

Larry Gene Urish, 84, of Tremont passed away May 27, 2026 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.  Born in Pekin, IL September 28, 1941 to John and Velma May Conley Urish.  He married Wanda L. Davison Urish October 10, 1976 and she passed away in 2018. 

Larry is survived by his sister Linda (Jim) Remus.  

Larry served in the US Navy for four years.  After leaving the Navy Larry spent many years working at Cat and then spent 20 years working for IL Mutual Ins. in Peoria. 

He enjoyed reading and watching movies.

Larry was a long-time member of the Tremont Baptist Church.  He served as President of the Woodrow Cemetery for many years.  He had to give it up due to his dementia getting worse. 

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday June 1, 2026 at Davis Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Pastor Noah Lee will officiate.  Burial will be at Woodrow Cemetery Near Pekin.  Davis Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tremont Baptist Church.
