Laurie VanDyke

Laurie (Scudder) VanDyke, 57, of Hopedale, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Hopedale Nursing Home.

She was born January 31, 1966 in Peoria to Robert W. and Jeanne Martindale Scudder.  She married Roger VanDyke on July 9, 1993 in Pekin, and he survives.

Also Surviving are her daughters, Nicci VanDyke of Hopedale and Cassie (Kevin) McCullough of St. Louis; one sister, Tami Scudder of Washington; one brother, John (Paula) Scudder of Bartonville; and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barb Widener; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Scudder.

Laurie worked for Peoria County for 32 years as an office manager, where she made many friends.

She loved family trips to Fort Myers Beach, FL and camping.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life will be at a later date.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Laurie VanDyke Memorial Fund established at the Hopedale Community Bank in Hopedale.
