Leilani Smock

Leilani S. Smock, 73, of Hopedale, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Fondulac Rehabilitation Health Care in East Peoria.

She was born April 21, 1952 in Peoria to Clarence “Slug” and Lois Stanley Slager.

Surviving are her children, Jimmy (Lisa) Birkey, Jason (Amanda) Birkey, and Mary (Randy) Rummerfield, all of Hopedale; six grandchildren; sister, Sandy (Tim) Wier of Lacon; and brother, Joe (Alice) Slager of Hopedale.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jess Slager.

She worked as an LPN at TCRC in Tremont and Morton for many years.

Leilani was a member of Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale.

A visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at Living Hope Community Church in Hopedale. A private family graveside will be at Shiloh Cemetery at a later date. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
