Obituary
L. Wayne Cobb, 82, of Delavan, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Hopedale Hospital.
He was born February 29, 1940 in Macomb to Bailey and Nellie Robinson Cobb. He married Sheila Christopher November 8, 1986 in Hopedale, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Jeff (Jodi) Cobb of Norfolk, NE, Tim (Becky) Cobb of Manito, Shelley (Zak) Flatley of Baton Rouge, LA, and April Cisneros of Delavan; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Whitney, Wendy, Tyler, Jordan, Mallori, Sofia, Skyler, and Noah; several great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lee (Janet) Cobb of Macomb and Joe Cobb of CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ed Cobb and Richard Cobb.
Wayne drove for Peoria Charter Coach for 30 years, was a rural mail carrier for approximately 25 years, and delivered parts for Roland Rich Ford in Delavan.
He was a man of faith and loved being with his family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, riding his bike, and Elvis.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan. Pastor Tim Ellison will officiate. There will be a visitation from 2:30-4:00 pm following the service.
